What is this place? (the honest answer)
The Listening Post is not a real message board. It is a piece of fiction built to promote I Hate The Sun, the debut album by EBT Brass Band, out now. Every thread, every member, every ‘sighting at the marina’ on this site is part of that story.
The album is real. It was recorded live on a boat in Point Loma Marina, San Diego, October 3–5, 2025: four people loading gear onto a boat, which is roughly what the forum thinks it saw.
The story unfolded in new threads on the front page every Monday, Wednesday and Friday through release day, September 18, 2026. Read it from the beginning, then go hear the record.
